Achieving the Dream Goals
BHCC’s goal is to effectively use data to create institutional change that will close achievement gaps and enhance student success rates. BHCC aims to use data to implement strategies that will help students persist, succeed, and graduate. During the first year of the initiative, the college intends to:
- Review institutional data to identify achievement gaps
- Initiate a college-wide review and discussion of student achievement data
- Identify strategies for closing achievement gaps
- Prepare a 4-year plan for implementation of those strategies.
- Join with other community colleges in Massachusetts to impact state-level policies and practices related to community colleges
The implementation of new strategies would help promote institutional change necessary to enhance student learning and success. BHCC is well positioned for this challenge to create systematic institutional transformation in an effort to help all students reach their goals.
