Orlando D. Griego taught at the Community College of Denver (CCD) for 22 years and also served as the Department Chair of the college’s Reading and Study Skills Department. He was CCD’s Dean of Education and Academic Services for five years and was instrumental in developing the design of CCD’s nationally recognized Developmental Education/Basic Skills model. He published a textbook entitled Study Strategies that Work! Orlando is currently the Executive Vice President of Pueblo Community College in Colorado, where as the chief academic officer he oversees the three instructional divisions, the Student Services division, and the following departments: the Grants Manager, Alternative Education and Professional Development and Leadership Academy (AE/PDLA), Enrollment Management and Student Retention (EMSR), and Title V.
His primary focus is to create a positive student learning environment that focuses on student success and to provide the faculty and staff with the training and resources necessary to accomplish his goal.
