Linda Serra Hagedorn

Linda Serra Hagedorn is Professor and Chair of the Educational Administration and Policy Department at the College of Education—University of Florida. She is also the Director of the Institute of Higher Education. Although she has a broad interest in higher education research, Linda’s main research areas are community college students, college access and success, as well as special school to college programs. She has directed several large research programs including the Transfer and Retention of Urban Community College Students Project (TRUCCS).

Her more recent publications are An Investigation of Critical Mass: The Role of Latino Representation in the Retention of Urban Community College Students (2005); Hispanic Community College Students and the Transfer Game: Strikes, Misses, and Grand Slam Experiences (2005); and Serving Los Angeles:  Urban community colleges and educational success among Latino students (2004).
