A study by the Community College Research Center at Columbia University’s Teachers College and by MDRC found that, while the speed at which 13 Pennsylvania and Washington State colleges were able to institutionalize a culture of evidence varied, Achieving the Dream had positive effects on all of them. As a group, the study found that they were further along a year and a half into the process than were the colleges that joined the initiative two years earlier in the first round.
