Indiana joined the Achieving the Dream initiative’s state policy consortium in July 2009 and is the 16th state to participate in the state policy component of Achieving the Dream. Ivy Tech Community College is the lead organization for Achieving the Dream’s state policy work in Indiana. Ivy Tech prepares Indiana residents to learn, live, and work in a diverse and globally competitive environment by delivering professional, technical, transfer, and lifelong education. Through its affordable, open-access education and training programs, the College enhances the development of Indiana’s citizens and communities and strengthens its economy.
Ivy Tech is unique in that it is the country’s largest centrally accredited statewide community college system. More that 130,000 Indiana residents are educated each year through Ivy Tech’s 23 campuses throughout the state. Indiana’s Achieving the Dream state policy work is managed through the Office of the President by the Vice President of Program Analysis and Engagement.
