Trueheart and Vice President Rachel Singer announced today that effective June 1, 2013, Rachel  will step down  from her position as Vice President for Community College Relations and Applied Research to become an Achieving the Dream Senior Fellow.

ANAHEIM, CA (February 5, 2013) – Achieving the Dream, with the support of The Kresge Foundation, this evening announced South Texas College (STC) as the winner of the fifth annual Leah Meyer Austin Award. Along with this prestigious recognition, the college will receive $25,000 to support its ongoing student success work. As this year’s award-winner, STC is being honored for demonstrating systemic institutional changes that have resulted in a noteworthy increase in student success.

More than 1,500 influential practitioners, policy-makers, and thought-leaders from across the nation are attending this convening to share results, strengthen partnerships, and direct the course of the reform movement for the upcoming year.
