New Mathways Project

During spring 2015, the faculty in the developmental math and credit math departments collaborated to create an alternative developmental math pathway.  In the past, our sequence of developmental math classes were designed to prepare students for College Algebra.  In Fall 2015, the College will add MATH 0308 which is a developmental class to prepare students to take a non-algebra intensive course such as Statistics or Contemporary Math.

During Fall 2015 and Spring 2016, we had 42 students enrolled in MATH 0308 (Foundations of Statistics) instead of MATH 0304(Intermediate Algebra).  We had an overal success rate of 81%.  This is a great improvement over MATH 0304 success rates which were 61% for Spring 2016.
