Advance the One-Stop Enrollment Advisement Model

To improve student support services and overall student retention and completion, in FY2015 the college cross-trained admissions, financial aid, enrollment, and advisement staff and opened a renovated enrollment advisement center that is truly a One Stop. Students are now assigned to a specific team of enrollment advisors who assist them in all of these areas and guide them throughout their academic career. The potential benefits of the new enrollment advisement model have been widely communicated to faculty, staff, students, and stakeholders, resulting in widespread buy-in and increased job satisfaction among student affairs staff. The college is now surveying students to assess their satisfaction with the new model. In fall 2015, 81% rated the One Stop a “3” and “4” (out of “4”). The rate by 6% increased to 87% for Spring 2016.
