W. David Pelham, Ed.D.

Managing Director, Foundation Relations for the National Student Clearinghouse

Dr. W. David Pelham currently serves as the Managing Director, Foundation Relations for the National Student Clearinghouse and as an Achieving  the Dream Leadership Coach. David has over 30 years of experience as a college and university faculty member, debate and speech coach, and administrator, including 10 years a college president and director.  His experience includes assignments in several states and in the Middle East. 

David has served in leadership positions as a faculty member, serving on the governing body for the National Debate Tournament, as a college vice president when he chaired the South Carolina Technical College chief instructional officers, and as a college president when he served on the CEO Board of the California Community College League.  His commitment to service to his profession has been strong and consistent. David was selected to be a member of the steering committee for the first doctoral program offered in the California State University System and served as the founding chair of the Northern California Rural Community College Association. 

David holds a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of North Florida, an MA in communications from Morehead State University, a BA in individual directions (speech, political science, and history) from Carson Newman College, and an AA degree in general education from Brevard Community College. He also has further doctoral level preparation in communication and higher education from Wayne State University and the University of Florida.
