Jocelyn Harmon

Jocelyn Harmon is Vice President of Development, Marketing and Communications at Achieving the Dream, Inc.  In this role, Jocelyn raises revenue for the organization by engaging key stakeholders, including funders, corporations, community colleges, and strategic partners in ATD’s work to help all students realize substantial value from their postsecondary experience, thereby strengthening their communities.

Jocelyn comes to ATD from Prosperity Now where she led the team to raise $13 million in 2015 and $13.9 million in 2016, including securing grants from key national foundations and corporations such as Kresge Foundation, W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Ford Foundation, JPMorgan Chase Foundation, Prudential Foundation, Intuit, and others. Jocelyn also completed the organization’s first-ever Family Economic Opportunity Fund, a $2 million campaign to raise critical unrestricted revenue.

Prior to joining Prosperity Now, Jocelyn was Vice President for Development for the Global Fund for Children where she directed the Financial Times Seasonal Appeal a $5 million, multi-channel global fundraising campaign.  She has also served in sales, marketing, and business development roles at Network for Good and Care2, both provide critical fundraising and advocacy services for non-profits.

Jocelyn is a frequent speaker and writer on fundraising and marketing. She earned an M.A. in Sociology from University of Washington, which she attended as a Ford Foundation Pre-Doctoral Minority Fellow. She earned a B.A. in English from New York University, which she attended as a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Recipient.
