Coach

Charlotte Biggerstaff is an experienced higher education consultant and coach for Achieving the Dream. Charlotte has been with Achieving the Dream since 2004, coaching colleges in Texas (Coastal Bend, Wharton, and Temple), Ohio (Eastern Gateway), Virginia (Danville), North Carolina (Davidson County), and Michigan (St. Clair County). 

In addition to her coaching, Dr. Biggerstaff also conducts external evaluations of national projects, including those to improve teaching, service, and productivity; develops curriculum for training programs; and assists with proposal development.  An educational consultant for 11 years, she has also conducted numerous performance and management reviews of community colleges and public school districts for the Texas Comptroller and the Legislative Budget Board.

Prior to her coaching and consulting, Dr. Biggerstaff spent many years in higher education, most of them in community colleges, working in program and department administration, curriculum development and evaluation, professional development, continuing education, workforce development, and public information.  She was a key institutional leader in several community colleges, and her experience in both urban and rural colleges has given her a broad understanding of how community colleges work. 

Educational Background: Dr. Biggerstaff holds a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from the University of Texas at Austin; a M.S. in Educational Media and Technology from Texas A & M; and a B.A. in Art Education from the University of South Florida.
