Cristina Blanco

Associate Director of Programs (Learning Events)

Cristina Blanco serves as the Associate Director of Programs (Learning Events) for Achieving the Dream. In her role, Cristina manages and oversees all aspects of conference planning and logistics for Achieving the Dream learning events including the Annual Meeting on Student Success (DREAM), the annual Kickoff Institute, the annual Coach and Data Coach Orientation, the annual Coach and Data Coach Retreat, and all Board of Directors meetings. Among her numerous responsibilities, Cristina conducts site visits, works closely with staff and several vendors, manages budgets and timelines to ensure the seamless production and implementation of all events.

Before joining Achieving the Dream, Cristina worked with the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), an Achieving the Dream Founding Partner. While at AACC, she coordinated event planning and management activities for DREAM (formerly known as the Strategy Institute) on a full-time basis, and assisted with planning activities for other AACC events. Cristina has been involved with Achieving the Dream since 2004.

Educational background: Cristina received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theater Performance, with a minor in religious studies, from Virginia Commonwealth University.
