Statement by the Achieving the Dream President and CEO William E. Trueheart on the Interim Report from MDRC and the Community College Research Center

Using data - concrete evidence on student performance - to improve college programs and services is a founding principle of Achieving the Dream. Since the launch seven years ago, Achieving the Dream has consistently emphasized with colleges the importance of allowing data to stimulate reflection and discussion, and to advance decisions in the quest for better student success outcomes. That is the ATD way, and we hold ourselves to that same standard. Achieving the Dream applauds MDRC and the Community College Research Center for their rigorous research and welcomes the findings in the interim report, Turning the Tide: Five Years of Achieving the Dream in Community Colleges.
