We are pleased to announce Rhonda Glover as our new Senior Director of Data Coaching and Data Strategy. As a senior member of Achieving the Dream, Rhonda will architect robust and comprehensive strategies that allow the Achieving the Dream Network to better leverage data. Rhonda will use her extensive expertise to assist in the design of services and supports that further develop institutional research capacity and evidence-based decision-making at Achieving the Dream Institutions. Rhonda will evaluate the data needs of participating institutions and introduce customized services. Working most closely with Data Coaches, Rhonda will ensure that the consultation, site visits, and related activities are of the highest value, and she will lead the Data Coaches’ recruitment, coordination, and professional development.
Rhonda is a strategic and highly accomplished professional steeped in the work of Achieving the Dream. Prior to joining Achieving the Dream full time, Rhonda served as the Interim National Director of Data Coaching. Additionally, Rhonda has been a Data Coach for six years and during that time she served 12 Achieving the Dream Institutions, five of which are Leader Colleges located throughout six states: Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Texas. Previously, Rhonda gained three decades of higher education administration and instructional experience, and acquired first-hand knowledge of Achieving the Dream’s Student Centered Model of Institutional Improvement, during her leadership tenure at Valencia College. Valencia was one of the first 26 institutions selected to pioneer the national Achieving the Dream initiative in 2004. Five years later, the institution achieved Achieving the Dream Leader College status and became the first recipient of Achieving the Dream’s Leah Meyer Austin Institutional Student Success Leadership award, and in 2011, the first recipient of the Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence. Rhonda completed her professional career at Valencia in 2007 and holds an Emeritus title for the position of Assistant Vice President, Institutional Research and Learning Assessment.
