Attend DREAM Workshops on Pathways and on Increasing Completion

Increase Completion: Learn from Georgia State University in an On-Site Information-Sharing Visit

Monday, February 22, 2016

From 2003 to 2013, graduation rates at Georgia State University (GSU), an urban institution serving high percentages of students of color and low income students, increased by 21 points while the graduation rates for underrepresented students increased by 18 points. The University now ranks first in the nation in bachelor’s degrees conferred to African Americans.  The University has designed a three-hour seminar that describes how this impressive turnaround was accomplished.

While this seminar has been designed for South African higher education leaders attending DREAM, GSU can include an additional 25 interested representatives from ATD colleges. Please join us for this informative and inspiring visit. You must RSVP here to attend. Achieving the Dream will provide lunch and motor coach transportation from the Hyatt Regency to GSU.  Visit here to learn more about the university’s strategies and successes.

Practitioner-Led Pre-Institute on Integrated Pathways

Tuesday, February 23, 2016

Completion by Design (CBD) college practitioners now have four years of integrated pathways reform work under their belts and a wealth of on-the-ground experience with design and implementation. They also have developed tools and resources that help colleges restructure and connect the components of a successful pathway and build the institutional culture and capacity needed to support such comprehensive transformation. Informed by the work of CBD, ATD, and other national experts and drawing on these new tools and resources, CBD college practitioners will lead an all-day pre-institute session for colleges considering or already engaged in integrated pathways design.

The workshop is available to teams of two or three persons from a single institution at a cost of $400 per team. Visit here to register for DREAM and the Pathways pre-institute workshop. All team members must register at the same time. Participation is limited to 20 teams. Any individuals who previously signed up may add one or two additional team members. Single registrations are discouraged.  Breakfast and lunch are provided.

Looking forward to seeing you at DREAM!
