Call for Proposals: DREAM 2020 National Convening

Contribute to the national conversation, identify and address critical issues to improving success for all students.

Individuals from colleges, universities, and organizations inside and outside of the Achieving the Dream Network are invited to submit proposals to present a concurrent session or to present during the fast-paced 20x20 presentations.
ATD is gathering national leaders and practitioners from across the country to convene February 18-21, 2019, to identify and address issues that are critical to improving success for all students.

This is an opportunity to present your work before 2,300 experts, policy-makers, investors, thought-leaders, and practitioners from more than 220 colleges throughout the country who will gather to engage in an exchange of ideas about evidence-based reform strategies.

DREAM provides participants with opportunities to engage with and learn from colleges that have achieved significant, sustainable improvements in student outcomes. This year, ATD is organizing these learning opportunities around the framework of the journey that students take from the time they decide to attend college until they earn a credential with labor market value: a pathway.

Concurrent Sessions: Proposals due September 16

The Concurrent Sessions will recognize the contributions that ATD colleges and other practitioners have made in these four pathways areas:

  1. Building educational pathways that develop skills and talent to match labor market needs
  2. Getting students off to the right start
  3. Helping student stay on track and complete
  4. Ensuring students master knowledge and skills

Concurrent Sessions should focus on both progress and set-backs that colleges experienced in their student success and equity work. Each session will be 75 minutes long, must be highly interactive, and should identify lessons learned for replicating success and avoiding or mitigating pitfalls.

20x20 Presentations: Proposals due November 15

The 20x20 Presentations are an opportunity for college representatives to showcase a promising practice, strategy, tool, or idea that enhances student outcomes. 20x20 are fast-paced presentations—20 slides with 20 seconds per slide in which you can highlight a particular institutional or pedagogical practice. Evidence of success is encouraged but not required, therefore up-and-coming strategies are welcome.

Submit your Session Proposal, or reserve a slot for a 20x20 Presentations timeslot here.

DREAM 2020 attendee registration will open in early September.
