“ATD comes at a great time for the college—aligning well with our mission and new strategic plan, as well as our accreditation self-study process. We especially look forward to building our data collection and evaluation processes to improve our standing initiatives in student success and retention.”–Larry Anderson, President, Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College
Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College (FDLTCC) brings together a tribal college and a state community college in partnership. With this partnership, FDLTCC is the only unique mission institution in the Minnesota State system of colleges and universities. The collaboration offers all students, regardless of demographic background, the opportunity to learn in a welcoming, culturally diverse environment. The campus and curriculum provide the perfect learning environment in which to meet the needs of the next generation of leaders, offering on-campus student residence halls, intercollegiate athletics, student clubs and organizations, and class sizes that promote student engagement.
Founded in 1987, FDLTCC offers two-year associate degrees across a wide range of program areas, including liberal arts, law enforcement, human services, nursing, business, American Indian studies, geospatial technologies, and environmental science. FDLTCC is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and recently received specialized accreditation from the World Indigenous Nations Higher Education Consortium (WINHEC) for its American Indian Studies and Anishinaabe and American Elementary Education programs.
