Student Success Center

The intent of this intervention is to provide all students with opportunities to enhance their academic engagement and increase their overall success and persistence to retention rates. Initial data collection and analysis processes indicated that under-prepared students were least likely to persist to retention, and to retain through graduation. Qualitative processes indicated that students and faculty alike would benefit from a centralized student academic support office. Therefore, this office is designed as a one-stop center where any campus community member may seek academic services support. The Center does not duplicate support services provided across campus; rather it serves to connect campus community members with the services that already exist. Additionally, the SSC serves as the central host for a number of Rose State College's initial Achieving the Dream strategies including the Academic Early Alert System, Academic Success Plans, and case management initiatives.

The Student Success Center is also the centralized office that provides Student Success Workshops on a bi-weekly basis for the entire campus. Workshops include yet are not limited to: Study Skills, Time Management, Personal Finance, Test Taking Strategies, Stress and Anxiety Management.
