Summer Advantage Camp

This two-week summer intervention is designed for recently graduated high school students who place into developmental reading/writing and/or mathematics and would like an opportunity to refresh their skills and re-test into college-level courses.  College faculty will provide hands-on instruction and practice in two-hour sessions over eight days, and then students will re-take the Accuplacer mathematics assessment and/or write a final reading-based essay to determine whether they can move into college-level courses or into a higher level developmental course.  A pilot program will be launched in July 2015 followed by work with area K-12 districts to expand the program.
