Structured Learning Assistance Tutors

We are continuing to expand the numbers of our structured learning assistance tutors and have provided training before each semester.  Student use has increased since we developed business cards for tutors to distribute, designed their own websites, and introduced themselves to students during the first week of class meetings.

SLA tutors have assisted students in particular subject areas, such as English, Business, Math, Computer Science, and Biology.  Hundreds of students utilize this free service.  We are presently discussing a Student Resource Center, which would centralize these tutors with other institutional tutors.  Our plans include having a centralized student area so that students needing assistance in any area or service could seek help (veterans, study groups, technology assistance, etc).
