STC FTIC Case Management

Case management approach is applied to all FTIC STC students who go through the 1st year student orientation provided by the Student Support Services and Student Life Departments. The advisors make 4 mandatory contacts with students each semester, some of these contacts are face to face, while others are by phone call, or email, or mail. The content of the contacts include helping students set academic goals, following up with the students' academic progress, helping students with early registration, and referring students to tutoring services or other student support services. The goal of the case management intervention is to help students navigate through college life and successfully complete college.
