Student Success Course

National research supports the belief that new developmentally-placed students are at the highest risk of failure and withdrawal and that use of the "On Course" model can provide training in the basic student skills that lead to academic success.  Since introducing the course in Fall 2009, approximately 1000 students have enrolled.  We see a mild correlation with these students' success in other courses in the semester in which the student success course is taken, but not much correlation beyond that.  We will continue to explore modifications to the student success course as more data becomes available.
