Adoption of the Degree Qualifications Profile

In 2011, the North Central Michigan College faculty adopted the Degree Qualifications Profile (DQP) as its assessment platform.  This model delineates 19 specific learning outcomes in 5 core demensions.  It makes learning goals more transparent and more uniform across courses and programs.  To date, over 90% of North Central Courses have been mapped to the DQP and faculty are utilizing the framework to rebuild master course syllabi - thus contributing to greater instructional continuity; we are in the midst of moving consideration of the DQP to address program outcomes, as well, and the upcoming year's work with Guided Pathways will intensify this effort to ensure that individual program outcomes are both supported by course outcomes, and are directed towards a coherent endpoint.
