New Student Orientation

A collaboration between students, academic affairs, and student affairs, New Student Orientation is designed to familiarize new students with college resources and to educate them about the expectations of faculty at the college level.  This is the second part of a three step entry process:

  1. Students attend a College Planning to discuss assessment, placement, advisement and registration as the first step.
  2. The orientation takes place several weeks to several days before the start of the semester. There, student and academic affairs staff engage students more directly on issues of faculty expectations, student responsibilities, College services and resources, and career direction.
  3. A ongoing virtual orientation is being designed for 2016-2017.
