Improve high enrollment/low success courses

Course success in gateway courses, often considerd as high enrollment low success courses, is a leading indicator of student success and becomes a barrier for student completion when too many students get stuck in them. Data produced by Triton College Research office shed light on many of these courses that could qualify as HE/LS courses. After receiving this data, the three academic divisions are currently having conversations regarding ways to improve success rates in these courses. The “success” here is defined as students getting a grade of “C” or higher. The School of Arts and Sciences developed a departmental retention plan to target the course outcomes concerning the HE/LS courses in their area.
