Integrated Learning Support

The Learning Commons strives to provide high quality learning support in a broad range of disciplines and at all levels of the curriculum. A differentiated service model allows the Learning Commons to serve students according to their individual needs. Students receive individual and small group tutoring in face-to-face and online formats as well as access to many other physical and online resources. The staff provides assistance in any course that has a quantitative, reading or writing component. These include all levels of mathematics, all levels of reading and writing, physics, chemistry, biology, anatomy and physiology, earth sciences, economics, accounting, business-related courses, computer technology, humanities, and social sciences including history, psychology, sociology and political science. Students served include traditional and distance learners, students enrolled in TCC's University Partners programs, and GED and workforce students. Data show that students who regularly use the resources experience higher rates of success in their classes.
