Peer Mentoring

First-year students are matched with a peer mentor, who has completed at least 24 credits and is trained to work with students in a mentoring relationship.

Peer mentors are paid through work-study. They engage with their mentees a minimum of twice a month, whether to discuss academic progress and college "survival" or in the context of on- or off-campus social events.

Both peer mentors and mentees have retention rates significantly higher than the student population.
