ATD Teaching and Learning Summit

ATD’s Teaching & Learning Summit beginning on May 29th, will strengthen the role of Centers for Teaching and Learning and empower faculty as leaders in addressing issues of student access, achievement, persistence, completion, and equity in teaching and learning. With four key areas of focus: Open Education Resources, Guided Pathways, Culturally Responsive Practices, and Adaptive Courseware, academic leaders will examine classroom-based practices and design an action-based strategy for implementing instructional models that support students to succeed and achieve their academic and professional goals.

Association for Institutional REsearch Forum

Leon Hill, strategic data and technology coach, and Dr. Elayne Reiss, director of research, are participating in the Association for Institutional Research Forum in Denver. Leon is presenting on a panel with the American Association of Community Colleges and Elayne is presenting on a panel with IHEP and CUNY and also presenting in a session that describes ATD's work with National Student Clearinghouse data.

Western PA Creative Commons Summit

Dr. Richard Sebastian , director of OER degree initiative, will be hosting a workshop on Backwards Design using OER at the Western PA Creative Commons Summit.


Network Visits

Susan Mayer, chief learning officer, and Ryan Knight, associate director of network recruitment and retention, are on a coaching visit in Tennessee.
