Teams From Six Colleges Start ATD Work at July Virtual Kickoff Institute

Teams from six colleges are gathering virtually this week at ATD’s Virtual Kickoff Institute, which sets the stage for their work as ATD Network institutions. The convening enables teams from each of the colleges to spend time with their ATD coaches and to begin to organize their work for the year, including preparing for a campus-based launch in the fall.

Over the three days, the college teams will participate in online sessions that introduce the ATD approach, a capacity-building framework and companion self-assessment Institutional Capacity Assessment Tool, that will enable them to pinpoint their strengths and areas for improvement across seven institutional capacities that are needed to facilitate change. This framework integrates and aligns efforts that the colleges may have already begun to implement, such as guided pathways, integrated planning and advising, developmental education redesign, and assesses readiness for other large-scale change work.
