ATD Board Chair to Deliver 2020 Dallas Herring Lecture

Insights from the Pandemic: The Reckoning and the Hope at Our Nation’s Community Colleges

Dr. Pam Eddinger, president of Bunker Hill Community College and chair of the Achieving the Dream Board of Directors, was selected to deliver the 2020 Dallas Herring Lecture.

The annual lecture, hosted by the College of Education’s Belk Center for Community College Leadership and Research at NC State University, honors the legacy of Dallas Herring, a pillar of the North Carolina Community College system. ATD President and CEO Dr. Karen A. Stout delivered the 2018 Dallas Herring Lecture “The Urgent Case: Centering Teaching and Learning in the Next Generation of Community College Redesign”.

The address will be delivered virtually on November 10, from 1:20 to 2 p.m. ET. A panel discussion will follow Dr. Eddinger’s lecture and includes presidents from ATD Leader Colleges and Leader Colleges of Distinction: Dr. Avis Proctor, Harper College; Dr. William Serrata, El Paso County Community College; Dr. Kandi Deitemeyer Central Piedmont Community College.
