Her mother worked a number of jobs, while Chioma took care of her younger siblings. As Chioma was graduating from high school, her family was relocated to the United States, and they quickly took advantage of the opportunities that were available to them in their new community. One of this year’s Harvey Lincoln Student Scholarship winners, Chioma delivered the student commencement speech at Suffolk County Community College and will pursue her nursing degree at Adelphi University in the fall.
