Data and Technology Assessment

Building a culture of evidence requires more than simply accessing data or technology.  It requires taking a hard look at how people, processes, and systems are working together to make data-informed decisions.

Achieving the Dream is offering a new service called a Data and Technology Assessment to help you better utilize your existing data to advance student success.
Our Data and Technology Assessment is conducted by chief data and technology officers and includes:

  • Onsite consultation and interviews to determine the current state of your data infrastructure, including people, processes, and technology.
  • A deeper analysis of your Institutional Capacity Assessment Tool (ICAT) results.
  • A thorough document review.
  • Interviews with your executive cabinet, IT, and IR staff, end users, and students.
  • An assessment of your data structure and your skills, engagement, and staffing in IR and IT
  • An assessment of your planning, governance and support, systems infrastructure, analytic technologies, and data models.

At the conclusion of the assessment, you will receive a written report with detailed recommendations and targeted resources to address capacity gaps.
