Vickie Lock

Vickie Lock is currently the Dean of Student Success at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay, Wisconsin.  In this role she leads the core team for their Achieving the Dream student success work, supervises various student services departments, including student involvement, international programs, assessment, academic supports (tutoring and supplemental instruction), support services for under-resourced students and leads a variety of special projects for the college.  Previously Vickie served as an associate dean in the General Studies division of the NWTC and at her previous college.   The experience working in both academics and student services at the college have provided her the opportunity to see the student experience from a holistic perspective.

Vickie began her work in higher education over 16 years ago as a grant writer and project manager.  She continues to utilize those skills in her work leading special projects across the college.

Vickie holds a Master’s degree from the University of Iowa in American Studies.  She completed her undergraduate and doctoral work (all but dissertation) at the University of Iowa.  Vickie has completed leadership training from the Chair Academy, presented at multiple conferences and lead workshops on a variety of student success topics.
