Ambre Reed

Ambre L. Reed, MPA is the Associate Director, College Relations at Achieving the Dream, Inc. In this role, Ambre works to continue strengthening long-term relationships with ATD Network colleges by closely collaborating with program team leads, college relationship managers, and finance to create and support ATD initiatives and programming to advance student success.

Ambre brings to this role over a decade of experience in higher education, and has provided leadership in program management, partnership development, and strategic innovation. Prior to joining Achieving the Dream, Ambre served as a Program Manager at Year Up, a national workforce development program, and partner with Northern Virginia Community College, and other community colleges across the country. Ambre has also worked as a Relationship Manager for Scholarships and Programs at the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) which supports Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

Ambre is very active in her community, and has a passion for education, racial equity, and organizing. She is a founding member of The University of Georgia’s Black Alumni Leadership Council, and has served as the Retention and Engagement chair, for both Atlanta and Washington DC, for the past 3 years. She has engaged over 3,000 Black alumni through social media, and numerous events across the country. The council has raised over $300,000 for its 1961 Giving Campaign, benefiting the endowed Black Alumni Scholarship for incoming freshmen throughout their undergraduate education.

Ambre earned a Bachelor of Science in Family Financial Planning at the University of Georgia. She also completed a Master of Arts degree in Public Administration, with a concentration in Nonprofit Management at the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University.
