Community Colleges Get Serious about Engaging Adjunct Faculty

Engaging adjunct faculty in student success reform is a significant challenge for community colleges, and Achieving the Dream – a national nonprofit dedicated to helping community college students succeed – is addressing this challenge head-on. Yesterday, Achieving the Dream released a new publication and hosted a national workshop offering community colleges timely, tangible tips for sharpening their focus on faculty engagement.

Achieving the Dream (ATD) leads a growing network of more than 277 community colleges committed to helping their students, particularly low-income students and students of color, achieve their goals for academic success, personal growth, and economic opportunity. ATD is making progress in closing academic achievement gaps and accelerating student success through a unique change process that builds each college’s institutional capacities in seven essential areas.
