Improving Student Success Through Active Learning at Indian River State College

Instructors and administration at Achieving the Dream Network College, Indian River State College (IRSC) set out to transform their traditional class settings and improve student outcomes by extending instruction through a virtual campus. They looked to Echo360 active learning solutions to engage students with in-class activities and help with recording course content.

In addition to lecture capture and classroom engagement, faculty and administration at IRSC now have new insights into how students perform in courses where Echo360 is in use. Through analytics dashboards and heat maps, IRSC faculty can identify student “struggle spots” and adjust instruction methods to help remediate or expand upon difficult topics. Given this eye into new data, IRSC added additional tutors to their Academic Support Center in order to help students who were identified as needing additional help.

In this webinar, you will learn how previously unavailable data on student learning from Echo360, along with the data from Blackboard Analytics, are helping IRSC to improve the student learning experience!
